Eric Frontière's EPIC

Eric Frontière
A French musician, who style of composing is greatly inspired by the well known Yiruma ( a pianist and composer from South Korean ) . Yiruma's soul touching compositions are so well known. The melody of the song are known as the best medicine to calm a person down, as well as to bring peace to the mind.

Eric's Evocation of an Epic Day works well for the soothing style melody. I can describe the starting as the "sentimental" relax- like melody. It go gives me some kind of sweet feeling, where that feeling is rather hard for me to explain it out. Solely the sound of piano, it is so narrative in nature, with a self contained story, often concise and relying on imaginary..
When it comes to the climax part of this piece, Eric uses some other instruments to help build up the so call Climax of the song. There is a big twist of the characteristic of the beginning part and also the middle part. The beginning part is rather soft and piano, as the middle part is rather RPG-ish (Joe Hisaishi's anime music perhaps) , but overall they still mixed up well!

Awakening of Love
Most of us probably remember the famous stary told by Dr. Hora about the Buddha. He is asked, " are you a God?" He replies no. "Well then are you an Angel? ""No, i'm not an Angel." "Are you a guru or a holy man?" "No, I'm not even that." "Well, then what are you?" "I'm awake."
"Awake" is defined as "to come out of the state of sleep"

I do fell that sense of "awake" when i listen to this song of Eric. Sometimes, people take such a long time just to understand a simple thing. Love, is simple. But why there are so many people who suffers from the love impact?
I've learn to to give..and to share. (0:37 - 0:54), this phrase is short, but it do brings out the whole feeling of this awakening.

Everybody has a dream, so do I. Since the primary school, when people always popped a question to me, asking me what is my dream, i will always answer that i wanted to be a famous pianist. A pianist that get to perform in a grand hall, with a classic grandy, sharing her music the people. I always wanted to be one, even today. It has been 4 years since i pursue my Mechanical degree, and getting farer and farer away from the music, but it doesn't lashes away my passion towards music. Dreams of Eternity, a song that is simpler than the Awakening, doesn't miss out from conveying the message to the listener. Listening to it makes me realize that there is still a dream waiting for me to go towards it.

Music is always the most beautiful thing. Life is boring without music. There are still lots of music passion-ners that keep on producing nice melody, which touches the heart of listeners. Time has gone, and my dream are yet to be achieved. I've wasted a lot of time worrying for nothing. I'm scared to take the first step as i'm always scared of failure. Listen to Eric's Time has gone make me realize that i need to really appreciate what i have, and keep going on searching for my dream before times out...
p/s: it do sounds like the melody in the song Close to you...

I've wish upon the Twinkling Stars that you are always safe wherever you are. I still remember that you once brought me for a starry view. Too bad, its cloudy that night and we can't see the stars, but we do have a great night, with all those conversations, dreams searching...
I don't know if the sky at your place if full of shinning shimmering stars, but here, whenever i see the stars, it makes me think of you...and be safe please..

The Yiruma-inspired songs are nice, but Eric also successfully brings out his style in composing such great pieces. As usual, SIMPLE is always the best.

Have a nice day ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿
